Biography

Awarded Best U.S. Physician since 2014, patients know Dr. Aylin Ozdemir best as “Dr. O” and consider her a visionary pediatrician that practices advanced medical treatment methodologies. She is the owner of Pediatric Associates of Jacksonville established 1932 since 2001 and guides the practice through her vision.

Dr. O is a graduate of the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship program conducted by Dr. Andrew Weil. She holds certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. O earned her medical degree from the University of Istanbul and completed her internship at the Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children in the United Kingdom. Dr. O achieved residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania, and at the State University of New York’s Long Island College Hospital. She expanded her academic learning in Southern California by attending the Advanced Integrative Family Medicine training at Scripps Hospital of Personalized Medicine and Nutrigenomics at Bastyr University.

Throughout her career in family practice within the Jacksonville area, Dr. O has been honored multiple times by the National Consumer Advisory Board as one of America’s Best Doctors and by Patients’ Choice as one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors, a distinction bestowed on only the top 5 percent of all the nation’s physicians.

Dr. O’s expertise in understanding and implementing numerous paradigms such as how the environment, genes and nutrition play a role in the whole patient systems approach allows her to practice a distinctive and extremely effective style of treatment and care. In her approach, she uses multiple integrative medicine disciplines that allow her a choice when customizing a patient’s care plan. Dr. O loves her husband, 2 daughters and her shih tzu puppy, Levi. Her personal interests include healthy cooking, music, traveling, and yoga and meditation.
